I did some really cool things this year ('00)
August 7: Today was wickedly awesome day. Well, perhaps the day totally sucked balls, I had to prep El Target for inventory, but the awesome part was leaving work early to get to Jimmy Eat World! The openers were Weakerthans and Andherson. They played at the Epicenter, a teen center located in Mira Mesa (San Diego California).

The Weakerthans were awesome and the lead singer has a wicked personality, well, for a Canadian. Anyboots, Andherson really stunk seeing as they were more of a scream band where vocals weren't as important as loud. Most definitely not Jimmy material, but they are touring with them. But when Jimmy came on, everyone was quiet and standing attentively listening for the musical fallout. They were phenomenal. The first song played was Believe in What You Want (I believe.)

My personal favorite song was titled "If You Don't Know, Why Did you Say So". I am not certain if that is the actual name, but it was really righteous.

As with all classic gigs, after the "last" song, the group unplugged and the crowd was excited from the buzz of the energy and the comment made by Rick (Bassist) about how San Diegans are the best, and returned for a final showdown, playing one last loud shoutout to the crowd, lasting nearly ten minutes.

Energy wise though, I believe one of the greatest moments was when they played "Lucky Denver Mint". During this song the crowd was singing and moving to the flow of the music and everyone had a really good time.

Ultimately it was an unbelieveable affair and it seemed everyone went home a bit more fulfilled. I'm certain through the buckets of sweat the band produced however that they had to have had a rock solid sleep, and we rule; We were the first on their tour! I'd certainly like to visit the last as well. Thank YOU Jimmy Eat World!

April 15, 2001

Today was rather rough at work. Easter really sucks since everyone and their kin decide it is great to jump into the store and rummage through everything. Today alone I was at the register through my entire lunch break (off the clock to help my friends out...) and then some. I spent almost two hours at the register. That totally sucked. Just had to add that. It was notable. I'll tell you my plans and excited events up and coming...

I am going to have two major events going on in the month of May. Both are within a months time.
First, I am going to go and see Jimmy Eat World again.
For me, that concert is on May 5th at the Epicentre.
I'm really excited to go as I really love this band. If you want to learn about them I recommend their website, which is located on my LINKS section.

The second is actually extremely exciting. If you didn't notice, I have posted on this site my ticket to a much heralded event. This event is known as the Electronics Entertainment Expo (E3). E3 is a truly wonderful event. Last years highlights for me included everything from testing out a set of 3D head gear that could be placed inside any computer to standing next to Bruce Campbell on accident and getting a free DVD with his personalized autograph to myself and my friend Neil. Last year they announced a ton of information in the Videogame Industry. This year is going to completely shatter last year in events to be helds. Everything from Gamecube to X-box will there. Playables of games such as Halo and Rogue Squadron 2. Sega will be having it's party as well strutting its stuff for its own product (DC) as well as the other systems it has chosen to christen. Sony has it's hands full as two very capable contenders enter the market, and a few hidden suprises. What's so exciting about this year is there is ALWAYS something remarkable to be told at each E3 show. With all the remarkable things are already KNOWN about the show, it seems it could not get any better, but it shall. I most certainly will update this site when I return from the show. The show is May 17th-19th. At least, those are the open exhibit days. I'll also try to get pics on all the really cool freebies I'll obtain, as that too is one of the rituals that is E3. Stay tuned...

I'm here to simply waste your time. Why you might ask? Well it's simple...you asked me to. Why else would you click on a site so difficult to possibly type out? You either know me...or you're a sad, sad individual.
